A quiet room, filled with all the little things that make me happy: books, nature, decadent treats, and soft textures. Dark, moody, and sensual, this painting was so meditative and fun to work on. I loved adding the texture on the background with spray paint and stencils, then sketching in the elements of my little daydream.
You'll notice the heron features in many of the recent works. I've discovered the joy of getting out and photographing birds and other small animals here in the PNW and inviting them onto the canvas- such fun!
