Hello friends! I'm glad you're here.

"Rebecca Garcia in the studio"
On chilly days, I’ve got my tea and a comfy sweater while I putter and paint. On sunny days, I’m often listening to bossa nova or summer sounds that keep me dancing at the easel. I’m most energized when I’ve had time outside in nature and love surrounding myself with greenery. And I’m at my most heart-full when I’m making music or painting.

"Books, plants, and early morning light in the studio"
These moments of movement, stillness, and connection shape my creative practice. My paintings often blend realism and surrealism, inviting viewers into lush, contemplative spaces that celebrate beauty, feeling, and presence.
Music is a parallel language in my life, and performing feeds the same part of me that painting does. (Here’s a snippet of my band and I playing at the Seattle Jazz Fellowship.)

In addition to my studio practice, I’m deeply engaged in community-based art and education, working with youth and collaborators through workshops, exhibitions, and creative programs in the Seattle area.
Whether on the stage or on the page, I thrive on creative exploration and invite you to join me!
