Winter is coming...

Winter is coming...

Winter is coming and that means cozy slippers in the studio and a tea on hand for chilly mornings.

Last night I picked up my paintings from Columbia City Art Gallery and sent congrats to my fellow exhibitors for a wonderful show. It's an amazing feeling to share art and space with other artists and to connect with community. We had a beautiful opening with live music (I got to sit in on a couple of tunes) ...and a closing event last week that included an artist talk and Q & A.

At the moment, I am working on a project with other artist from the Seattle Erotic Art Festival which will be auctioned off to help other artists. I'm excited for the challenge because I'll be painting on wood, which is super new for me. Keep an eye out- once everyone is done with their part, I will be able to share some process vids and photos!

Other than that, I am at loose ends - no markets or shows to work towards for a month or so, which means I can focus on learning and practicing oils and honing my acrylic skills. I have done a few oil tutorials and LOVE the process so far! Here are a couple of small practice pieces I've done:

And I have neglected my watercolors! I definitely MUST make time to do more watercolor painting. ❤️

I better get back to it- my paints are calling. I hope that you are staying warm and cozy wherever you are. ✨
